Secret Policeman - York
Just a heads up for anyone in York.
There is a black 5 series BMW doing the rounds in York - I have seen it twice in the last 48 hours on the A64 in Central York and out towards the A1.
Very well disguised - one aerial - index
AD59 LRU
Keep your eyes peeled or he will have you!

i hate coppers especially traffic cops they think they are above the law. im in dispute with one in court at the moment who in his own words did 102 mph in a residential area to catch up with me in my astra gsi just because i overtook him a couple of days before in what he says was a dangerous manner and he was not in a position to stop me at the time!? more likely he saw the tuned astra with a loud exhaust late at night and thought it was easy pickings for a conviction the ****1ng w@nker. my solicitor is having a field day with his statement where he admits to dangerouse driving himself lol

There was one sat on my tail on Wednesday, while I was on my way to work.
Stuck on my bumper in the run up to and all round the roundabout, then on the turn off, got so close he forced me into the right hand lane of the slip road.
I didn't bite and did not know what he was until he finally left me alone and drove off.
In very small writing on the bumper was the word, Police. Jerk

Most police cars are tuned, for example the marked 5 series police cars are tuned at ricardo (seen them in shoreham) and they have twin turbo conversions so they are very rapid.
It may not even be a diesel, it may just be badged that way

Police cars are not tuned as there are very strict rules as to what grade driver can drive what vehicle.
For instance the first rung of the ladder (grade 5 I believe) is anything up to 114bhp. Then you go to grade 4 then 3 etc etc.
Each car has to be an exact bhp, with an exact spec. The insurance and the health and safety the government place on police drivers is massive.

My cousin is an Essex "boy in blue", who does vehicle assessment for the force, and he described mine as "mental"... the car, not me ! ( he was driving. )
LOL
dunx
P.S. When I bought my first Scoob the Humberside boys had an Escort Cosworth, with "rally" spec suspension. To cope with speed bumps, they soon bought an "s" plate turbo tho'....

3.0l diesel
I understood police cars were tuned but it was things like improved brakes, heavy duty batteries etc, rather than more horsepower.

Friend of mine buys ex police cars from auction runs them 12 months on the MOT they come with and then sells them on at a profit. Well serviced, high spec seats but not one has ever been tuned. Had a few with the light relay still in lol.
For the cost of covering a few holes he reckons its worth it.
