Red face PayDay Loans

Shouldn't they be made illegal or something?

Typical 2356% APR

I feel lucky to get 2.5% on my money!

Example:- http://www.quickquid.co.uk/how-it-works.html

Why? Perfectly legitimate business albeit with questionable ethics. If people are stupid enough / that desperate for cash then why not take advantage

There is nothing wrong with them, they are clear about their lending and the amounts paid back and only show an APR because that is the legal requirement for all lendings, even if you only borrow until pay day.

They also lend to almost anyone regardless of credit score. High risk is rewarded by high return.

Certainly not a company I would entertain but I'm sure a life line for many who perhaps cant even get a credit card.

The difference between a winner and a loser is that winners take their chances - even if some don't come off ...........

I remember some guy on here used to get Giro loans! PSLewis or someone? He was clearly very hard up, so I guess if you're that desperate, and don't understand what 'APR' means then you get sucked in

Yes, nice come back ..... I like to think of a winner as an ethical winner, not a stitch-up winner (as that's a loser in my book)

I was tempted by it but then I read the APR and realised it was just over my 2000% budget, gutted really as it seems such a good deal.

Will the great PSLewis explain why he claimed to be getting 40mpg out of his scoob on short journeys, while we're at it?

Wasn't it 32/36 or thereabouts?

And he is still convinced he has a 10 gallon tank - 45 litres is all he can ever squeeze in, so he tells me. And 320-360 miles is about what he gets from a tankful. Which actually adds up perfectly. ...... at some point on a long journey 40 mpg must have been reached.
