I used to have Ultimate Ears uber-expensive buds but they broke. I got the Klipsch Image S4i for my iPhone and I was blown away by how good they sound.

You can get the none iPhone version, the S4, between £50-60 if you shop around. Highly recommended.

I had some Sony in-ear jobbies. I listen to music whilst working out and found the Sony's sound was fine but the coating of the wires disintegrated (could be my pores exude acid or some such). Not had that problem with the Etymotics. Another plus for the ER6is is that they are a snug fit and cancel out a lot of the low frequency drone on 'planes. Not a bad thing when flying long haul.
Have heard good reports about Bose, Shure and Ultimate Ears also.

The earphones that came with my HTC Hero are utterly horrible, well the sound seams ok, but they seam massive and tooooo big for my delicate little ears

I will be looking to upgrade them at some point to be honest.

Skullcandy full metal jackets

had both them, and senheiser cx 500's and the FMJ's give a much richer sound over the cx 500

Another vote for SkullCandy here. I'm a big headphone user so in-ear ones had to sound as good.

I use the SkullCandy Skurvy buds (at half of your budget) and very happy with them, good bass etc. (house and dance music mainly).

My friend got a load so i checked around and a quick search revealed how many fakes there was around especially on ebay. i said i'll give him £10 for a set and tbh they where better than any i had used before and a bargain at that price but still fake.

I wear my ipod so I don't annoy clients with my loud radio in thier own homes. I'm sick of the original in ear types hurting your ears after wearing them for a while so I bought a set of these yo try them out. For a cheap pair the sound is really good and would still give you enough cash to buy a spare set of denons as well

Sennheiser cx300's - doing me proud, especially on noisy planes.
