Thumbs down Global Warming Has Hit Scotland

I'm snowed in this morning, and this must be the deepest snow we've had for a few years. Wish I'd done something about my CO2 emmissions now, maybe this wouldn't have happened!

I was going to go and finish my xmas shopping today, but can't now. I really hope Gordon Brown hurries up and saves the world, 'cos I'm so scared.

I remember getting snow like that up here in Aberdeenshire year's ago when I was a kid, it's not like it's nothing new, just we havent had it for year's due to milder winter's, perhap's milder winter's are on the way out and proper winter's are comming back?

Winters like that were quite normal and as Dunk says-they seem to have gone full circle in a cyclical manner.

I personally just feel that it's a natural cycle and has nothing to do with any sort of influence from emmissions or whatever, but what do I know!

I remember one year... think it was around 2000, where the drifts were 6ft deep in places. Only about a foot or so deep today. Still had to dig the car out of the drive though.

Despite the much derided predictions of a “barbeque summer” not being fulfilled earlier this year, the Met said there was a 50 per cent chance of a mild winter this year.
Hmm - 50% chance of a mild winter and therefore 50% chance of a harsh one...

PMSL - not like hedging their bets are they?!

figures for this are available during the industrial revolution when london was smoggy as firk etc temperatures were lower for almost 50years almost proving the swedish scientists point that the earths temp weather etc is related to the number of solar explosions on the sun which took place 250years ago the earths seas then have a 50 year memory of these explosions . therefore affecting our weather . global warming my butt !!!!!!
