I don't get this. There must be a massaging of figures going on here.

Round here nothing is selling. One developer has slashed their prices for certain Appartments by £75k. They're still not selling.

Prices have not come down enough to be considered anywhere near affordable yet. Without FTB who are still priced out of the market both by property prices and Mortgage costs, I don't see how the market is picking up.

There are 4 Appartments in my development up for sale. A £39k price difference between the greediest seller, and the most realistic seller. Not one has even had a viewing in the last 6 months. They're far from being what you would consider a poor development, and are situated within the correct area of the Town.

Round here the few decent houses that are coming to market are selling like hot cakes and have been for around five months.

So the average price is being 'pushed up' by the elite swopping houses ??
