Post Steel baths

Thinking of refitting the bathroom .

I think i can remember steel baths being generally a bad idea ( iv certainly smashed a few up before now ) due to them taking time to warm up , but do they in turn stay warmer fro longer and is this why anyone might choose over acrylic ??

Started looking at cheapest possible suites ( naturally ) and than it struck me i was looking at all things acrylic ! Should i being going ceramic ? - im not likely to break anything myself ,weight wise

I think you've smashed up cast iron baths not steel.
Bette supersteel for me.
Cannot understand why your bath water is cold, main loss of heat is evaporation from the bath water surface not convection through the steel surface.

water is never cold, its the exposed areas of the bath that are like when you lie back and your shoulders catch the rim ;-)
