Default Tesco to get the iPhone ???

Just been told that they reckon they will have it by Xmas.... apparently.

Tesco to offer iPhone in the UK - Blogrunner

First I have heard of it, unless they are acting as a middleman for O2

Pricing will be the same, but I'm sure Tesco will be offering extra clubcard points etc etc to get people to sign up with them.

All good for Apple in the end.

Yeah thats what I was thinking too.
A friend of a friend mentioned it yesterday and I just thought I would look into it.
Seems to think that Tesco are going to launch a price war with it.... Somehow I didnt see that happening.

Awww what are you trying to say, Tesco aint classy enough lol.

Would it be better if Waitrose were doing it instead

Interested to see what the uptake will be though, as has been said, unlike the others, Tesco are in a position to reward their customers with products, and have a great advertising platform too.

doubt that Tesco's will be any cheaper or any dearer than anyone else for the Iphone as its the actual handset costs that dictate the priceplan.

Plus its no Blackberry 9700!

I'm sure Apple will manage the pricing so Tesco falls in line or their stock will suddenly dry up. Not speaking from experience of course ;-)

Depends what you need? Minutes / texts etc, and what phone you want.
All providers will be a few quid apart at most for their tariffs.

I would have to agree....
However I dont think Apple can stop Tesco giving all their iPhone customers say 1000 Clubcard points a month, therefore a £10 discount.

In reality they will be the only provider in a position to compensate customers in such a way. Interesting to see if they do something like that

Thank you Apple for moving the mobile device game forward and keeping it moving. Thank you O2 for allowing me to unlock my mobile phone for free, easily and with style.

I must admit that I thought the iphone was a gimic that only people who drove new minis could own, but I have to admit, I am very impressed.

Wish I'd got one now.

Clare, you drive a Fiat 500, that's a metrosexual's dream ride. You're allowed to own an iPhone, treat yourself and your image.

I didn't buy a Fiat 500 to be "trendy", so perhaps I am allowed an iphone. I hate minis, I thought it would have to be the same for the iphone

Just been to Tesco and asked what deals they will do.....

16G 3GS in white cost £100.00
900 mins 500 texts unlimited internet

Usual cost would be £39 per/month on 18month contract.
They will do it for £34.26 per/month if you sign up for 24 months...

And you get 35 club card points per month plus 100 points if you pay for the phone using a tesco credit card.

Thats the other halfs xmas prezzie sorted....lol

In stock for the 13/14th of december.
