Default Best Mossie repelent?

Whats the best Mosquito repelent you have used??

Plug in things for the room.

Sprays

Nets for your bed?

I work abroad all the time and have no problem with them, but the wife and little one might not be as imune to theor bite as I am.I use spray with deet in it and where I stay is pretty much mozzie free, so no worried when sleeping.

We are off on holiday for the first time in years and I have lost touch with whats is the best type of repelent.

Advice appreciated

Jamie

Where are you off to? Big difference between the tropics of Belize and hitting the Med

I use nets on the bedroom doors and cover up during the evenings, deet's not nice for kids or adults have you ever read the MDSD for this?

Citronella candles work midly, if not I use a spray called Mosi-guard Natural that works for me.

Avon 'Skin So Soft' body lotion and oil is supposed to be the best. The turquoise one.

As above. In France I buy one from the supermarket called "Stop!"

Jungle juice is also good.

Stuff you rub on is cheaper to use as it's less wasteful than sprays, aslo less liklely to end up stinging your eyes

depends on location, we trekked through the rainforests and jungles of borneo earlier in the year - Deet 100 was the only thing that was effective. Also needed anti-malarial pills for three months as well as darted for typhoid, yellow fever, tetanus, hep B and C.

Somewhere in Europe you could possibly use Deet 30 or 50 or consider treating clothes with permethrin. Keep Deet of the childrens hands, away from their eyes and mouth.

That works a treat and doesn't stink to the heavens.
Get the plug ins too. Oh and I was told to always drink lager and never wine. Wine makes the blood sweet and attracts mozies. Works for me
