Dissapointing to hear this I was looking forward to Kobayashi getting some more time behind the wheel, Thought the lad did pretty well in his two races for Toyota

I would say this also has something to do with the worlds economy, something of which quite a few people like to discuss......in NSR!
If you're not interested, why post?

I bet Raikonnen is pleased he didn't sign for them a couple of weeks ago!
P!ss poor attitude really from Toyota though. I am sure they could have made this decision months ago and given everyone a chance to come to terms with it (i.e. staff, drivers, F1 authorities etc) and make the necessary arrangements like BMW did.
Just dumping this news on them all at the end of the season is really cr@p.
The FIA/Bernie ought to have a clause saying that any team that drops out of F1 should be banned from re-entering for say 20 years or so. See how they like that.
Stupid thing is I bet their business must already be showing signs of recovery.
More importantly though, I also agree that this thread should be in "Motorsport General"!

Oh pi55 off. you're thinking that F1 is oh so important that it needs to be in NSR. It's not the first post of this nature recently.... and yeah I'm a grumpy b@stard on a morning. You should be a politician with that bullsh!t you're spouting.

I think so... not the first time the F1 lads think they're so important though that the related posts are worth sticking in NSR. It's probably dead in the motorsport forum due to F1 being so god damn boring!

Motorsport forum is too far down the bottom to see if there has been a post in it
I think it needs to be elevated up the page, and that will encourage more people to use it
Oh, and no surprise about Toyota. Surprised about Bridgestone though, as they get to charge for their product. If they were losing money they could have put the price up of their tyres.

So much for the threat of the manufacturers setting up their own series. F1 fell over itself to get the manufacturers on board and now they pull out.
I assume Bridgestone will still supply tyres?
I'd be surprised if the team isn't back next year in some guise or other. Manor and Lotus are pretty much confirmed. The US team could buy it and stuff Youtube sponsorship onto the cars.
More important than kicking a pigs bladder around? For sure

What sports cars do Toyota sell? Naff all. Even the slightly warm Yaris is crap, so I don't see how they appeal to the market in F1 at all. Bring back the supra and mr2 turbo, they were awesome!

Wouldn't be surprised to see Goodyear and Michelin back, maybe even Toyo. They do GT racing tyres don't they? May be even Avon.

dunno, im not sure how willing companies will be to want to do it. its obviously not paying for itself otherwise bridgstone would be carrying on. can you see a company wanting to make a multi million pound expendature in this current economy?
