Coming to the big smoke from Cyprus for a few days for business, Tuesday to Saturday. Staying in the Metropolitan Hotel near Hyde Park.

I do not want to spend my evenings in hotel room or bar. So looking for either an Aussie pub that serves real Aussie beer or a pub that has a decent live rock band. A nice female crowd would also be welcome.

Dont mind walking or catching the tube, but do not want to head out into the suburbs.

Not into nightclubs.

Suggestions??

An Aussie pub, hmmm.
There are so many different pubs and kind of drinking establishments in London, but being a non drinker I could not tell you a thing about them.

Just find "a" nice pub surely lol

Sorry I cant be of much help.
However I reckon you will find the concierge in the hotel will be able to locate you one. They are rather good in that cluster of hotels.

Anywhere around Earls Court. They may not be Aussie bars per se, but all the staff will be Aussies.

There is also recent evidence that Aussie girls have a much higher rate of STDs than us Brits so, you might catch something, but you are much more likely to get laid.

What, you're not serious are you?

I referred to an Aussie pub as when recently in Vienna I found such an establishment and enjoyed several nights of drinking Crown Lager, VB and XXXX. Looking for a pub that might serve real beer.

I did not know that about Aussie girls. I have been gone for too long.

Anyway thanks for the info I will check Time Out as I hate walking about aimlessly trying to decide where to go.
