never really used it off road never really found anywhere big enough where in burnham beeches? i go there most weekends to run but couldnt think of some where to run a rc car. Must get it out again I haven't used it for over a year now last time I used it was in the snow and that was excellent just found out that they make the new shape body for mine my brother also has the electric version of that. Have you been to the track in slough?

I'm into them as well. I had a 2wd Schumacher DTM Merc, which was fun, but I'm limiting myself to the Tamiya 10th scale nitro, in the old shape at the mo. Just to be awkward, I get mine from Swan Model Trading in Singapore. Brilliant lot.

They're really into these mini (16th scale and smaller) r/c cars over there at the moment. They're tremenous fun. The gearing and motors are upgradable, and I've been told about some where you can now upgrade the chip. For goodness sake, an r/c car with an upgraded ECU. What next!.

The people who I import our emergency mobile phone chargers from are starting to trad in them soon. I'm happy to bring a few over if there's enough interest.

Yup sure am.

I own an HPI SNR 1/8 scale Scooby rally car, which I have just converted to run on tarmac.

2 speed box
5.5mm twin needle carb
Touring car springs
Adjustable suspension linkage set
Lightweight flywheel
Soft slick tyres

Boy, this baby really shifts now, quite a handfull at top speed (70mph) So need quite a large area to safely run her.
Not quite the same as the real thing, but oh wot fun!

Have also just finished building a Raptor Helicopter, and am due to run it in and learn how to fly it.
I have already started saving my pennys, cos I know I'm going to crash it several times before I get the hang of the thing, which if nothing else will be of great amusment to my mates. (They tell me they can't wait!)

Astro.
Might be interested. What are you selling?

Phil

I have recently bought a Hirobo ZTS Heli - save your crashes by leaning to fly on a simulator, I use CSM10, you can dial in the settings for your Raptor and use your transmitter to run the sim via a link cable to the PC. Good for practice when the weathers too crap to fly as well

cheers

http://www.modelsportuk.com/ are one of the cheapest online suppliers of Nitro powered rc cars.
I just got my Schumacher truck back on the road and am having a tough time keeping it on 4 wheels.
Has anyone made any wheelie bars for rc cars before?
I swear this thing must do about 80mph, thankgod for Blackbush Airport

I have just found out the one I have runs in Nitro / Methanol mix.

Does this make a difference,

Are there versions that run on normal petrol and versions that run on Nitro or are they just the same?

AFAIK petrol rc cars can run on 'unleaded' and nitro powered cars can ONLY run on Nitro.
I haven't seen many 'petrol' cars around though.
I now use 20% nitro as opposed to 10% and that makes a huge improvement on power.

I went to a model shop yesterday for some advice, I recon I can be racing for another £50.00.

Where's the best circuits for these beasts.

I would imagine a Go Kart track would be needed.
