Also here ... Labour wanted mass immigration to make UK more multicultural, says former adviser - Telegraph
Well, and people said the BNP was wrong about immigration. Strange that this should come out now but I believe that if this is what Labour have really done then they should be judged by the electorate NOW!

Isn't it more about competing globally ?
The more low paid workers you have the cheaper goods can be made, so more profit here, and more competitive into export markets.
Oh, and bugger the less well off, as they all vote BNP anyway....
dunx

Isn't multi-culturalism inevitable anyway!!!
We live on a planet of 6 billion culturally diverse human beings, a planet shrinking by the day through technological advances.
To claim that we in this little island can play King Kannute is bonkers.
Every generation is this country has been better educated and more prosperous than the last, and every generation has seen cultural changes brought about by migration. Oh and of course every generation has had people scared of change, hankering for a bygone age.
This isn't a license for uncontrolled immigration, and it's certainly not an endorsement of this governments policy. But it's what I believe to be inevitable.

What better way to buy votes than to allow people from poorer countries to come and live here. They'll be enternally grateful to the political party who allowed them to come.
We need to get rid of them ASAP. I fear it may be too late by next year.

My Dad is 70, yet despite being educated in the dark ages can still speak English,German and Latin fluently, and taught me triggernometry, polynominals as a teenager.
Some of us have thought this was the case and have been posting as much for years on here.
Denounced as racists and loonies - at last the truth is out in the plain light of day where everyone can see it.

Hmm nice piece of moderation again!!!
I didn't realise I said anything contentious
Would you care to expand on what is deluded and why, rather than giving me an irrelevant anecdote
That's what people on here are saying. The modern GCE's and CERTAINLY the GCSE's can't hold a candle. fact.
But I say again this wasn't the central point I was making.
As usual I despair!
It is frankly laughable that people use their grandparents as examples of how educational standards have changed for the worse. There simply wasn't the educational opportunities that exist today.. but OK i'll go with your sample of 1 as proof. Therefore what year do you believe educational standards peaked? 1925?????
But I say again this wasn't the central point I was making.

Can I assume that you agreed with my other points, given that you want to focus on an almost irrelevant part of my earleir post?

My point is that multi-culturalism is inevitable...and it is, unless you believe that the human race is going to stop evolving?
