Go on then. A few on here have some of my mixes on CD. What should we do, upload them to a file sharing site?
I'm away till tomorrow night so will see what I can do then, got 8 mixes on the PC.

Well if we round up a few others, and then yeah i guess upload them to a file sharring site, and then allow music lovers on here to decide . Or perhaps do a poll after they are all up?
I'll have to record one first so might have to wait a few days for mine
No rules, or Limit on time?

Well mine are usually between 60 and 80mins long, so when I write them as an audio CD and split for seperate tracks, they fit on a normal CD for the car.

Shall we say strictly one format per mix? That way no house/dnb sets, just either house, or dnb

Sounds good. My mixes usually have some sort of theme, i.e. build up, peak, classics etc. But usually from the same spectrum of trance and progressive trance. Think thats allowed.

I'm up for this, I'm going to get myself back into it this year!
I've got to do a new demo anyway, so I'm sure I can find time to do one for scoobynet lol
Does it matter what music?
Also, I love that cocky feeling after you have played a sick set haha

Lol, nothing like self smugness after flexing your djing biceps.
What do you have to do a demo for will?
Yeah, that would count choccy, trance as a whole genre, not as **** as only prog trance or uplifting trance
I was thinking of setting a theme but a) i can't think of anything, and b) it might start getting a bit complex lol.

I play Hardcore/Dnb. Not everybodies tast, but I grew up in it and got good at it and I love it!
Love all music though, love having a mess with any music, old skool, trance, hardhouse, love everything.

I would enter this but the Ministry of Defense has forbidden me from using the wheels of steel due to my beats being so intense they could be felt all the way to Jamica!

Ok, so far the music genres we have are Hardcore/dnb - will_wrx, Trance - Chocolate_O_Brian, and House - ME
I'm also trying to get more into it will, have done it as a hobbie since i was 11-12, and last year worked in a bar but was playing commercial (not my type but i liked the money) And im now learning how to produce aswell as getting into djing in clubs. Bit more practice yet though

Oh, one other thing, if we do a poll or whatever to judge it shall we say the vote has to be based on things like, mixing technique, beat tightness (as in how tight and accurate the beat matching is) and uniqueness? That way if somebody doesn't like a certain type of music they wont boycott it completely...sound fair?
Obviously i don't expect loads of people to be into this but we should at least try and make it as fair as possible

What genre do you specialise in? House?
Awesome, producing is the most brain racking part, what software are you using? I started of producing back when FL studio etc was still being used. I am fluent with that, but I started learning Cubase a few years ago and then gave the whole lot up, so I still have to learn Cubase fully, which will slow me down.
Best thing to do mate is stick at it, I find once you fall out, hard to get back in! Lol

Yeah house is my specialty. Used to play a lot of trance but slowly switched over to the house side of things.
Ive been using logic studio, i did an evening course at uni along side my degree where i was learning the basics of it, I'm now fluent with the basics and have edited a few tracks (just re edits not remixes) and i have half made a track but its very basic. But now i think I'm ready for more training to start making my own stuff, found a training course that teaches me what i think is the next step, and since my 21st is on the 4th November, i may be getting it as a present .
I'm actually seriously debating selling my car to get some new gear.

I am very tempted by the 2000's but its just the cost. I'm also torn between the Allen and Heath X:ONE 4D or the DJM 800, I'm currently using my mates 800 and love it, in fact iv got the DJM 600 plugged into the 800 for dual effects I'm such a geek

I love Pioneer mixers, its what I'm used to using, so I'll be sticking with them!
The 600 and 800 both awesome! I'll probably get an 800 in the new year. Got 600 at the moment.

Well guys im a dj of the last 14 years, playing everything from rnb, hip hip, old skool garage, funky house, etc.... but have to say im an old skool garage head first.
Played out all over the place, here and abroad and have been a resident at the O2 London for the last 2 years!!! so if any of you lot about then pop down and see what its all about. Place is called ThaiSilk and is the best saturday night inside the O2 (well obviously cos im playing )
As for mix cds why do most djs never get time to do themselves a decent mixed cd lol

Old skool garage. Now theres a quality music scene. You in for the contest then ?
I may be coming to the O2 on the 7th november for my 21st.
Jamz3k - I have heard that Allen and Heath are much better sound quality but have never heard them both side by side so maybe that will make my desicion easier come purchase time, but the 800 im using atm is a very nice mixer.
