Exclamation NASA to Bomb the Moon 09/10/2009

NASA - NASA TV

Fly me INTO the Moon: Nasa prepare to crash probe on lunar surface | Mail Online

12:30 PM GMT / 07:30 Eastern Time USA

Would be very interesting if it DOES turn out to show H2O in the Moon!

It's a bit late for me - But this could prove to be an invaluable source of power for interstellar travel for future generations.

Jet lag would be a b1tch though! I struggle with a 12 hour flight!

Is this because they have run out of things to bomb on the Earth?

They'll probably miss and in two years time it will hit Mars!

The bomb will land precisely on the 'supposedly' 1969 landing site.
That way, when the Chinese reach the moon and can't find any evidence of human contact, the US can say "well, we blew it up" LOL

Nope, they hit it hard, caused roughly 12 pence of damage, apparently know one noticed.

Somehow I am not sure whether this is an ethical excercise. I remember
when they exploded millions of copper needles in space to see if they could control communications. That did not go down well either.
