Busy, Busy, Busy..
Just been into Liverpool to arrange the troops.
Its dark, cold, raining sideways and blowing a gale, yet absolutely chocka block....
Large groups of lads and Girls dressed like its summer, scurrying around to different bars, all packed to the rafters, and yet it was only 2000hrs.
The roads where blocked with revellers, milling around finding their favorite bars.
It was almost like a Christmas night 21/22/23 Dec.
Every bar was rammed, with steamed up windows, steam rolling up from the main doors into the black night sky, and people queueing up to get in.
I know its the end of the month/payday for most, but why is it so busy, maybe the holidays are just paid for and now its time to get into the Xmas spirit.
I glad those days are over, Im sat here watching Monsters Inc with my lad who is happy as he is allowed to stay up late, brousing Ebay, and posting here, 2" of Remy in hand...life is good.

Agree on the giving up the town drinking sessions. Just been to tesco, for the weeks shopping, few bottles of real ale and some nice cheese. Do miss looking at cheap lasses in not a lot of clothes though....

I'd say Yoza was out sorting door crew at various pubs/clubs, just an informed guess.
It always makes me cringe when I drive around Bournemouth these days with the various stag/hen do's all staggering around dressed up like *****.
I'm glad my door days are over too, just the occasional visit into town for a few beers every few months.
We are starting to see a little more consumer confidence in my area of the leisure industry and have been busy for the last week or two.

As soon as the credit crunch waffle/recession tripe was spouted out by the press/media we saw totals start to shrink, i even think i posted about it on this website, but had loads of know it all dicksplashes waffling on about how i did not really have a clue about it all, and the 2 were unconnected
Regardless, we saw the markets drop straight away, stands to reason that we will see them rise straight away as well.
I suspect that people have either gotten bored with not spending, or things have slightly improved. It will all go **** up when the VAT goes back up.

I have been informed that there were hundreds of younger people out last night, apparently school leavers who have picked up their first wage slip, or EMI cheque.
They have been to college or work for a month and decided to have a blow out...
Of course they were all 18+ if they were drinking.
Good on them.
And good for the :-
bars/clubs/restaurants/cabbies/shoeshops/clothesshops/accessoryshops/hairdressers/sunbed salons/nail salons and chemists....and so it goes on.
Seamans Mission will be busy next week too.
