Driving distractions
Driving distractions as reported on the BBC.
So this is far more important than speeding as a root cause of accidents. Let's hope that the government re-assesses the speed kills mantra and redirects funds to more effective road safety campaigns.

Yup that add was GREAT !!
I have noticed while out with the dogs the number of people who drive past and look over their shouders back at the dogs.
One guy in a Punto the other week actually mounted the pavement while going round a corner too. Pretty scary how easily distracted people are at the wheel.

And here's another ... DVLA pledges investigation over Castrol spy posters ? The Register
"... Castrol would then flash an oil recommendation on the billboard's digital display, along with the registration number, in an attempt to grab drivers' attention ...
... The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents and the AA said personalised billboards could dangerously distract drivers ..."
So the DVLA allowed data to be used in a marketing campaign which was designed to *distract* drivers .... hmmmm.

Yep it's usually short skirts or tight fitting clothes showing all the right curves that severely distract me at the wheel.
Ban sexy girls! (alternately don't it's a risk I'm prepared to take )

Penalising motorists who stray a few mph over the posted limit are a lot easier target than actually fixing the root cause of the problem.

LOL absolutely no chance of this happening, - well not in serious manner anyway, speed cameras etc are just to much of a cash earner !

In fact I would go as far to say that its probably not coincidence that she was on with David Attenborough, and Peter Andre... remembering his Im a Celeb time in the jungle.

Whist in juxtaposition, sitting in the passenger seat and receiving a quick tug off the wife while she's driving causes her no distraction whatsoever, as she's tired of the monotony after 2 minutes anyway
