As some of you may have seen in "Hurt Locker" (based on real stories) the Iraqi militants groups are not adverse to killing children and putting explosives in their torsos.

Anyway, not sure how it renders airport metal detectors useless (unless its plastic explosives: what of the battery and electronics? ). As they can easily pick up pace makers and metal knees.

Possibly- Might be enough to cause the cabin to depressurise.

The problem with sudden depressurisation is that the outrush of air from the cabin and associated shockwave can literally tear apart the fuselage.

Now you know that's not going to happen

BUT it might be feasible for would be passengers to undergo some profiling procedure rather like a CRB check but done really thoroughly which could be marked in their passport. No clearance - No ticket. Of course it wouldn't be 100% foolproof but might catch out much of this nonsense. It would also help on the drug runs. You could still choose an airline that doesn't participate but that would be your choice and risk.

And remember 99% of Muslims are nice guys. Not so sure about the Arabs though

This is a worrying development, and sadly it will only be a matter of time until a plane is blown out the sky in the manner.

I don't knew whether they are swallowing explosives, along with a detonator on a pre-set timer to go off in-flight, or inserting the explosives in a surgical procedure and having a wire linked to a button which is external to the body? Guess this would have hard to hide from decent metal detectors.

Feel sorry for the innocent people of Asian/Middle Eastern appearance who are going to be treated as suspected bombers to an even bigger extent, as a result of this.

Of course it does make sense, that what terrorism is about - fear - disruption, mistrust.

set 10 of those of on different aircraft in the space of a day and watch world and internal air travel stop in its tracks for the short trem future, watch the Arab/asian looking people in check in ques being set aside for more stringent xcxhecks or banned from flying, the the looks they will get from western passengers - it would work a treat.

However, with regards to people stuffing explosives up their whole - surely there has to be metal of some sort?
Then the standard airport detectors will pick it up.

I know because of these people i go through a lot of **** at Airports and Heliports going comming from work with searches, shoes off, belts off, pockets emptied etc , cant carry this cant carry that not allowed to do this not allowed to do that etc etc

It's been brought on by a few people belonging to a particular race/religion. Not all of them. Not including the fact that there is every possibility of a white Muslim committing such an act, who may go unchecked, because they don't fit the bill.
