Tailgating - amusing crash.
There's a 40 limit (used to be NSL) road between two villages where I live. It's quite a busy road.
It's choka with commuters as it's the link to the M4 & M40.
Anyhoo. . .
A fox jumps out. First car hits the fox & slams on the breaks. Second, Third, Fourth & Fifth car plough into each other.
No one was hurt (fox aside).
I was quite surprised at one of the drivers who was shouting & screaming at the other drivers & to people driving past. .
Typical result of:
- Not giving enough space
- Driving too quickly
- Not paying attention
Mr smug here who left ample room & was doing the speed limit had a bit of a smile on the way past.

Reagrdless of speeds and distance between the car infront, it seems many drivers these days don't even look past the car infront or even be aware of what is around them..
Fouth and fith cars should have noted the first and second cars braking.
But of course thats common sense. And thats not allowed in this days and age

and when you leave a gap someone will undertake to get into it !!
I can see why people get smacked at the road side ... 40 mph limit .. 3 lanes .. 3rd and 2nd lane being blocked by car doing 30mph .. have to drop two lanes to under take .. which is not something I'm willing to do .. adds a good 15 minutes daily to my journey.
