BT Vision HDMi connection to which HDMI port on the Samsung?
as title,
got a new 37" samsung on Friday and it has 4 HDMi ports,
in the instruction book of the samsung it says using a hdmi cable thats not 1.3 will cause flicker!
I connected the BTvision to HDMI 1 and got flicker, also got it on HDMI 2,
If I connect to HDMI 3 (DVI) port no flicker, no flicker on HDMI4 either.
Then, when I read instructions again, it said connecting an external devise use the HDMI 3 (DVI) port.
Does that sound correct to use port 3 for the BTVision connection, I've put the blu-ray on HDMi2.
anyone else had flicker?
even using a very expensive hdmi cable (pure-AV) for the bt vision to the samsung at port 1, still gave flicker, just the same as the £15 HDMi cable I got from Wilkos!!

If it works leave it at that, I wouldn't think it would cause flicker as btvision doesn't output fullhd, just. A 1.3 lead.
But when I've fitted bt vision before I've not noticed flickers on peoples tv

picked up another one last night and it has no faulty screen!
it also has a quick guide to setting it up, saying ports 1 & 2 are for HD device connections with HDMi
port 3&4 are for non transmitting HD HDMi products (all 4 ports will take HD HDMi products though)
so that clears that up LoL
