The site is back up so the condemnations can begin.

At least it isn't senior officers being charged, just a lowly Ch Supt and Supt...

I know a little about this case, will find out more this weekend....

Surrey Police will go over the top to look whiter than white, so they'll probably be kicked out I should think

Err... judging by the fact they were appearing at magistrates court on 28th August I would suggest the matter was not swept under the carpet unless you have evidence to suggest otherwise of course. And by the way malfeasance in public office is not a misdemeanour, it carries a maximum sentence of life imprisonment.

Cant find anything on the normal news sites about the outcome, so either the outcome hasnt been released yet or the outcome isnt worthy of news coverage?

anyone know? only sceptical after whats happened to police officers caught speeding before.

Speed camera police chief caught...speeding | Mail Online

If the above quote is true, this may have been serious enough for the mags to refer it to Crown Court, but if they did, I wonder why it wasn't reported?

Can someone contact the local paper and see if they know? I smell another cover up:mad;

adjourned til 21st December...

BBC NEWS | UK | England | Surrey | Senior police 'misconduct' case

Also "Both men confirmed their addresses in open court, after chairman of the bench Wendy Cairns rejected an application by defence advocate Deirdre Scott to have that information withheld on the grounds it might put the officers at risk.

But a High Court injunction is now in force, meaning the Advertiser cannot print the defendant's addresses for legal reasons.

Neither officer entered a plea. The charges are so serious that only a Crown Court is able to deal with them. Both defendants' cases were referred for further hearing at Winchester Crown Court on December 21."

And a good thing too. If you become a police officer, then you are accepting that you must live by the law and enforce it. If you break any laws, then you should be punished, in a far more harsh manner, than a normal member of the public.

I dont buy the "We 're only human too" excuse, as entering the job, you accept the position and the way life you will have to lead.

So, if your caught speeding, ban / kicked off the job, as you lead my example. You cant do me for speeding, issue me 3 points, and then speed yourself.

You don't sweep something under the carpet by sending people to crown court. Sounds like they're in deep ****.

Milamber I've just realised where your name comes from. Good book.

If they are going to use the "We are only human too" excuse, then why are they booking the rest of us humans?
