How can i save music from radio ones iplayer?
There is a couple of sets recorded from creamfields that i want to save so that i can listen to in my own time rather than the one week that they will be online for, how can i rip the audio from the radio1 iplayer?
I have some software for saving youtube videos etc but it doesnt work with streaming audio.
Anyone know, or have the right software to use? I have also tried downloading a few but they don't seem to work

All you need to do is download it onto Audacity via a stream.
So if you haven't got it, download Audacity, set it to a stereo mix, start playing the set off the iPlayer, and simply record. Will record in real time and will record any background noises like changing pages, computer sounds etc, so bugger off and let it do it's thing. Hardest part when I do it is simply getting the sound levels right so it's not too quiet or distorted and heavy.
HTH mate
P.S. when it's downloaded, just export it as an mp3 file at whatever kbps you want too (thats in the preferences section - I do 320kbps).

Hi there
I use :- Record Internet Radio, Video & More with Replay AV
I record Radio one over Friday night, Saturday morning. I then listen to it over the next week whilst driving to work. I also record GayDar as well ( great dance music ) but am having a few issues at the moment due to the site having a new type of media player.
You install the software, set up recording session, by using the url that would start the iplayer / media player on the site. You setup up days, times, and whether you want streams, or players.
Like above mention, whilst recording you can hear any noises generated from apps / pages etc.
Its not a bad software, but Im on the look out for a better one, as record levels can be difficult to establish, you can have media player issues.

Ok i cant seem to do it. the sound quality is very muffled.
I think i might just plug my laptop sound output into the mac and record it that way. I guess it will be better quality anyway lol.
Cheers for the help
