Where to go camping with a 7 year old?
I want to take my 7 (soon to be 8) year old daughter first time camping for a night. I'm looking for somewhere with some outdoor activities near by. Can anyone recommend somewhere within a hours drive of Melton Mowbray / Oakham?

Just as a suggestion why not just do it in your back garden then if she really hates it all she has to do is go inside and you don't have to worry about packing up in the middle of the night and going home with an irrate 8 yr old. If she likes it then plan to go somewhere on your 2nd trip.
