Marrakech?
Anyone here been?
I am thinking of going there on a stag do, couple of questions.
As it is a muslim country is beer readily available in bars etc?
We are a fairly cultured bunce, not the newquay/newcastle stag do types
, WOuld people recommend it?
Any recommendations on things to do there?

Mates just come back - he was on his way to Essouria ( windsurfing)
Likes Essouria , didnt like Marrakech . Both Muslim so no bars but plenty of hash

Would appreciate if you could dpb.
Had a google and there does seem to be plenty of bars and nightclubs. Few reports of them being seedy though, just what I like

I drive through there 2 times a year with the 4x4 club, its great place friendly helped us out with water and a tent few times, just buy a watch i ended up with 18 watches last time i went, foods great stay away from tourist areas you get less hassle, check your backs for clay hand prints now and then its a marker to others to folow you, im going through there again in few months, ill get some picture for you.

Good mate of mine has been and he simply just wants to go back and back. He is not Muslim and has no problem with the place.
In fact he is one of the dirtiest dogs I know! LOL!
The fact that he has been to most of Europes filthiest stag do venues, survived, bought the t shirts, wrote the guide books, and so on means he is very well qualified. Further, he considers Marrakech as one of the best if not THE best of the places he has been to. This says a lot in my opinion, especially as he keeps going back!
He rates it better than Amsterdams Red Light area (easily done these days), Kotvar in Bratislava, Darlings in Prague, Baghdad Cafe in Barcalona, anywhere in Riga, and so on and so on.
You do need to make some arrangements, usually through your agent when out there, but after that you are in filth heaven - apparently!
