Facebook is interesting. I've only just joined and feel a little bit like a voyeur into the lives of people that I knew once several years ago.

Most people don't realise that anything on the internet more or less stays forever and can be used against you. If I interview someone, I look them up on the internet and will use that as part of my selection process.

Our children and our children's children etc will know and see everything about us in a way that previous generations will never have seen!

Everything we post is part of our legacy.

I can't believe the appetite for listing your every movement and thought on the internet will last

Surely people will soon realise how vacuous it all is

But then who would have thought that London’s biggest tourist attraction would be a room full of wax facsimiles of famous dead people - what do I know

Being paranoid, I just typed my name into google and it is amazing how quickly things get on the search engines. It used to take weeks, months or even years but I was mentioned last week somewhere and it pops up first on google!

I have much the same opinion and I'm only 22 so have kind of grown up with it. I do have a facebook account for keeping in touch with people etc, but I don't know why people feel the need to update what they are doing 24/7. I don't think I've ever said anything on it in fact!

Why would you? You'd need to be a total attention seeker to want to tell the world exactly what you're doing while you're doing it.

I regularly go and start deleting friends from my list, the ones i have at the moment are all pretty much people i have met at some point, so its useful in that respect for keeping in touch, but i cant see the problem in simply deleting everything before you "leave"

IIRC i have seen plenty of people even change the name on the account, so just call yourself something else and forget about it?

Give over. I love the games on there. Great tension sheet after a crap day at work.
And, get news feeds on Bubbas gigs, made loads of friends. Hey, if it lightens a tough day/week. It's all good.

And, helped no end with my Mum being unwell. I love it

I like Twitter, if only to follow the ramblings of Stephen Fry, Geoff Lloyd and Paul Daniels!
