Default Common sense breaks out in the legal system

BBC NEWS | UK | Wales | Father to repay drowning damages

Whilst I am extremely sorry for the parents, accidents happen and as a parent, I try my best to ensure that my two kids are always within sight.

Cool

The parents began a frantic search after discovering Matthew and his brother, Alex, who was 16 months old at the time, were missing.
Like you say, tragic, but who in their right minds would not have a constant eye on a 2 year old and 16 month old in a holiday park?

I've been to Greenacres a few times, there's plenty of oppurtunities for toddlers to damage themselves there. Some of the caravans are about 100 metres from the sea at high tide and there's no fence to stop you!

Sad for the little ones death, but the fault lays at the parents feet, IMO.
