The Davyboy guide to Mattee translation
I'm really really ill = look what GREAT shape I'm in.
I had an ice cream last week = look how LOADED I am.
Mrs Matt cooked some dinner last night = she is the most PERFECT wife
Oh no, I've got the inlaws over for supper = we are so LOADED that we'll probably pay to get caterers in.
Had a nice time with the baby boy yesterday = He is a GENIUS and model to be.
Surf was fun last night = I made Kelly Slater look like an amateur.
Went for a run earlier = DAMMIT I was fast. JESUS I'm so fit.
And so on and so on ad infinitum...

Wow my own thread!
I missed this earlier as I was on my static bike with heart rate monitor doing some exercise/physio whilst watching the Tour de France on my sony HD TV in my bedroom.

There is a relevant number, I believe - let's call it the UPI (Urban Pikey Index). It is the ratio of room size in square feet divided by the size of the HD screen in inches.
Hence, a 37" telly in a room of 140 square feet, gives a UPI of 140/37 = 3.78.
A 50" telly in a 100 sq. ft. room gives 100/50 = 2. The lower the UPI, the more of a chav the subject is.
I wonder what everyone's UPI is.
Mine's 7.03.
