Do you believe MJ was a Paedophile?

I think he was, basically my theory is that when he got old and rich, he decided to be a kid to replace what he missed touring and living with his mental family, he set himself up with all the toys but missed the point that once its gone, its gone, you aren't a Peter Pan character, you are a grown man even if you have childlike ways, I suspect he had the kids their under originally innocent reasons but got carried away one then time then developed a penchant, kids play the doctors and nurses and do experiment which is normal but not if you are a 20/30/40 plus year old man as regardless of however you arrive at that scenario, its still sick and wrong, he was a grown up and new the difference.
The above may be bollocks and I suspect nobody will ever know the truth other than those kids, to steeped in adulation, greed, vested interest and the accused is dead, the victims can never be trusted as one way they were either sexually abused by MJ or coerced into saying that happened due to parents seeing it as an opportunity to get rich quick, neither are desirable situations for any child to go through.

A lot of people do think he is guilty. And to be honest i think it was wrong of him to pay an
out of court settlement of $20m the first time round. He should of gone to court and fight
like he did the second time round, but that $20m pay off didnt do him any favours and
probably set bells ringing in some peoples head.

What j4cko says.
IMO having sleep overs with 12 year olds is not a clever thing to do. Causes an element of doubt just being there. I suspect it was far from innocent.
Can't believe all the fuss about his death. He was a musician ffs.

I do not know.... but he was a bit misguided..... to be far to MJ I watched Macauley Culkin be interviewed and he was asked if he has slept on the same room as MJ and he said 'yes, but what you fail to realise is that his room is bigger than most people's houses and is split on two levels. He slept on one and me on the other'

Not really imho.
I have always thought a paedo was someone, usually male, who was sexually attracted to young sexually immature children, often very young.
MJ struck me as a mentally immature person who was probably turned on by sexually mature (just) youngish boys and probably performed minor sex acts but nothing that harmed the kids or seriously upset them like major buggery, for example. Such behaviour was common place in most UK male boarding schools in the sixties and it didn't seem to harm the kids involved. "All part of growing up" as they say. The only difference being that MJ was older and should have curbed his urges.
But the kids involved were paid off and I doubt if they have been harmed for life, so what the hell.
But it may all have been innocent.

TBH for me I only care about his music what ever happened in his personal life no matter true or not was always going to be twisted and made to look far worse than it probably actually was, he was never convicted {ok you could argue that it is because of payoffs} and stories like that sell papers.
I actually think he just wanted to enjoy a childhood than he never had.
Either way I'll remember him for the performer he was.

TBH I don't really care that much, but........
Yes, I do believe he was a Paedophile. If you weren't, you wouldn't pay someone $20m to shut-up. You'd fight it in court to clear your name.

I don't think he was.
He was a very misguided individual.
When he was on tour with his older brothers is dad would practically force him to have 'relations' with girls when he should have been playing baseball with his buddies! So imagine what his younger years were like?!
He missed out on a huge part of life where he should have been forming relationships and building his social skills as a child/teenager.
He was in constant regression trying to go back to a time in his life where he wanted to be innocent, before all the turmoil and the madness when the J5 hit the big time.
Nobody will ever know, but all I can think is that no amount of money would pay me off had I been abused.
I would take a stand and let the world know about everything. Taking the money just screamed ..... bullsh1t! IMO.

YouTube - Michael Jackson - Childhood
In this song he outlines the fact he knows what people think of him.
That was just the way he was. I hate the fct I say that in the past tense.
personally for me his music was always separate from who he actually was.

I don't know whether he was a paedophile and neither does anyone else. He was acquitted in court.
I think personally that he was deeply affected by losing his normal childhood and that controlled his attitude to life. He obviously loved children and wanted to be associated with them for that reason. That does not make him a paedophile.
It is very unfair to accuse him of that without real evidence.

I'm not saying what Jackson did was right or making excuses for him. I suppose what I'm thinking can be summed up by saying that there is a fine line between greatness and madness.

If you were the parent of that first child, would you accept money ($20m) or would you want the person that did that to your child prosecuted and locked up where they couldn't hurt another child?
Would you gladly spend money gained by your child's molestation? I know I wouldn't, doesn't matter how much it was.
Innocent I believe.

Look at it another way.....

I agree! How could a parent live with themselves and spend the money he gave the child knowing why they had it?
