Flat renting question
Trying to help three young ladies find a flat to rent in Tooting, London. Have found a place near Tooting Bec tube which is fine for commuting on Northern Line although not a place I would retire to!!
But what should one normally expect from a furnished flat? A phone line? TV point? And what is usual score on paying Council Tax? Bedrooms have been decorated but only a bed and wardrobe provided. I also think the front door should have more than just a single Yale-type lock. They don't want to make a fuss but on the other hand........
Rent is circa £380 per person per month which I think is pretty good these days.
Comments invited and no, I am not giving out the address
Cheers, David

that is so not a furnished flat!!!
we have 6 flats we rent out, all on a unfurnished contract.
if furnished you should get everything you need to move straight in.
un furnished flats we rent out still have all white goods (washer/fridge/cooker+hob+extractor) ALSO blinds/curtains.
all bills would have to be paid for by the tenant, concil tax they sort out too.
service charge on th lease hold flat would be paid by me (the owner of the flat)
tenant sorts out anything else like braodband/phone and TV.
David any questions PM me
