Serious question btw! This place used to be a great laugh, but now it's so bland and boring What happened?

I got banned for a month for.. well nothing really, but now I've returned it kinda feels like returning home after a Nuclear holocaust and everyone is dead! So what happened in my absence to make this place as humour free as an open day at Samaritans?

There was a serious speed issue with SNet last weekend and a lot of people logged out. If they found somewhere better to spend their time then they might not come back. I stayed off for a week myself and am only here as I'm bored at w*rk.

I do think that BOTW did make a difference and now that Swiss has run out of risque material (prove me wrong why don't you) those of us who dip our toes in the edge of SN are rather lost.
Honestly dunno what the answer is.
Just a group of people who once had a shared interest in a particular mode of transport but have now moved on.
The ***** (oops did I say that) who now try to generate revenue from SN have not figured out that humour and left field comments are what kept folk coming back for more.
Have to say it's boring the **** off me at the moment

I'd certainly say the humour has dropped off.

Mind, IB IS American owned, and their humour is notoriously weird, plus the Yanks are sh*t scared of any sort of litigation, hence the clampdown on here.

I am still enjoying it, hence why I am here.

Salsa has inspired me to get my 1980's Raleigh Record Sprint out of the loft, I am midway through rebuild.
Nat has introduced me to Marathon Watches.
DedRater has taught me to question everything, if the milkman knocks for his money I ask for his ID, and queston him for an hour.
I found out you were banned, and you have one arm browner than the other.
I have realised I am being discriminated against by PayPal.
Matteeboy has made me feel like I am a loser and my life has been wasted.
And lots of brand new users have been engauging in watch talk, then getting banned, excellent.
I learnt that Wimbledon had a roof and floodlights, rather than it being bright sunlight at 2200hrs.
I also learnt that Murray was Welsh.

Nah, the yanks had little involvement on the matter. The rules are just a carbon copy taken from Passion Ford for sakes of ease then modified by us to suit our issues with trolling members. IB had very little input in that matter; and Stu has given the mods the freedom to act on their own discretion and inititative, so what you see as moderation has been done with pretty much no involvement of anyone from the other side of the pond. In contrast IB had more involvement with reorganising and simplyfying the confusing membership schemes (orange,blue,plus,for sale etc ), and even then it was run past the mods before anything was changed.

So if you want to blame someone, blame, er, me, as I was part of orchestrating it.
