Why does my left wrist hurt so much?
It started after my operation, I DO remember the anaesthetist bashing hell out of it and the back of my left hand to get the vein to stand up to insert the canula.
But should it STILL hurt like hell? It's still swollen for a length of about 10cm up from the wrist joint, and hurts to touch, the flesh under the skin is rock-hard, but no evidence of discolouration from bruising.
Bruised? Or a reaction to the anaesthetic? Or something else?
And how can I get it to stop hurting? Ice? Warmth?

Get to the doc mate. Probably nothing but any post operative pain should be investigated lest there are any complications.

Googled it: possible phlebitis or a thrombosis.
