Marine diesel price now?
Had to sell my boat a few years ago before we had kids... but they're approaching the age at which they'd enjoy a day on the water. I recall that we were having to remove the special allowance for marine diesel being free of tax due to those meddling ***** in Brussels. Did that ever come to pass? Is it now as expensive as forecourt prices? Cheers

Have a look at this
HM Revenue & Customs: Revenue & Customs Brief 49/08
It tells you what amount of duty is paid from Nov 1 2008. For pleasure craft it now attracts the full fuel duty.
When you buy it, just say its for heating and you'll get it cheaper.

Thnks guys. It looks like the HMRC accept 'no questions asked' a standard 60/40 split on propulsion/domestic use, which means you get 40% of your fuel without the tax. You can apply for more off if you liveaboard or something, but you then have to keep records.
