I had to dig out a huge nest in the lawn; they were pushing the soil up creating a hump which the lawn mower duely scalped.

I just kept digging down, and down, and down, and I was still finding the *******. Must have been almost 2ft deep!

Have them in the office at work too, I think they are in the wall cavites as I can see sand being pushed out between the brick and the tarmac. So I've dusted the whole perimeter of the building, throughly vacuumed inside, sealed the sugar in a jar instead of a bowl (they loved the sugar bowl), and put any other foodstuffs in tupperware. Dusted underneath the kitchen units with ant power, and left a load of ant traps everywhere.

Not seen any ants for a while...time will tell.

Ant traps are great, the little sods don't die straight away, they take the poison back to the nest and it kills the lot Takes a week or so but very effective.

You need to spray petrol all over your patio, then set it alight, it works and has the TTB seal of approval!

I like to hide in a bush, and pick them off, sniper style, one by one with a magnifying glass.
