Boosh the boxer....
As some of you may remember, we were looking into getting a boxer pup a couple of months back.......
Well here he is, picked him up on saturday and he is quality....
He doesn,t like the dog cage/crate thing we were advised to get and much prefers his bed in the kitchen.......he does however get us up at least once in the night with yapping/howling and wants a cuddle, but goes off once hes had his fix...
He is also a greedy bugger and wolfs down everything in sight....
Here is a link to the breeders site with pics of the litter, mum and dad....http://www.freewebs.com/shumlleaboxers/puppies.htm

I wouldn't cuddle him at night, however tempting as he will continue it, our new one whinged for three nights but we left him to it and he is fine now.
Persevere with the cage as well, they get used to it and it avoids a destroyed kitchen.
Puppies really play the cute and hard done by card, don't fall for it !

We did try to leave him....but after about an hour he had woken our girls.
So the missus gave in.......she has got some sort of plugin thing thats meant to help settle puppys by giving off the mothers scent. Will give it a try tonight and hope it works......he has got gradually better over the nights since we had him..
I was suprised that he was allready nearly house trained, and has only had a couple of small accidents ..

he's lovely looking, i really wish i had a bigger house and garden to get a boxer dog again. My last one Tyson, was the best pet anyone could ever ask for but unfortunately had a heart condition as passed away a few years ago.

Well ive just spent an hour rolling around in the back garden with Boosh, with my huge sleeping bag suit on(padded overall thing for those harsh winter days as a roofer)......he was completely knackered and fell asleep on my head...lol.....

boxers rule and Boosh looks gorgeous!! I think you may have a giant on your hands there in 8 months time, very solid looking boxer.
Here are a couple of my two, Molly and Tash - 9 & 8 respectively
pic from today whilst trying out my new camera - Tash has an eye ulcer which is being treated hence the very bad tear staining she seems to be coping though, anyway here goes
the two of them
The bark
Moody
You gotta love boxers........... they are afterall the best dogs in the world
Best of luck with training Boosh, that is when the fun starts

mine are the funniest when you have two they get a bit more independant but like a double act my male dog will get up and make sure she lies cuddled up between her legs with his head on her tummy and snuggles in.
They fart, snore and mine occasioanlly burp which is funny.
If you are firm from the start youll be fine we were soft with ours and now we regret it as he is a bit excitable from all the ruff housing we did as a pup,but great non the less, good guard dogs always let me know when something isnt right

........ and don't forget that as well as Fart & burp they also do the "kidney bean" when you walk through the door (it's a boxer thing ) and the boxer "woo woo chewbacca" noise
Loads of ther things as well but they are the two that make me smile the most

Thinking of getting a boxer myself. Wanted one for years and now I have my own place Ive been seriously considering it. Downside is that girlfriend is pregnant, are boxers good around kids?? If they are is a boxer pup and a new born gonna be too much hard work?

Yes Boosh has a tail.....didnt really bother us and i suppose in a few years it will be the norm.......I did look into the "bobtail" boxer but they were rare and commanded a fair few more dollars..
There are some in ireland that are advertized with docked tails but they are not Kc registered and possibly from puppy farms.
We managed to visit Boosh,s home four times from 4 days old and met his parents which suited us.
