My Mrs and I fell out a bit about this, I have no issue with it at all, nor does she however..... There was a story about a restaurant owner banning it from his place. My Mrs thought it was awful that he could do it as its only natural, if you dont want to look you dont have too etc.
I was of the opinion that its his business he can do what he wants. I had to cook my own dinner that night. It sucked.

My wife breastfed our daughter. She could do it so discreetly, that when her workmates (all men) visited us after the baby was born NOT ONE of them even noticed or passed the remark she was feeding the child. I dont know what all the fuss is about. Some people may like to be exhibitionist about it and enjoy putting on a show.
Some other women who dont get attention at home, or are boot ugly might look at it as the only way to draw attention to themselves.
Done PROPERLY there is nothing wrong with it.

I breastfed my son in public and never encountered a problem. It isnt as if you go flashing your nips about for all to see.
I had nursing bras where you can un-clip the front of the cup then support baby under your top while he latches on. I was more concerned of flashing my after pregnancy stomach then my nips but muslin squares come in handy for that.

A couple I know have a baby who is nursing and whenever I go round there the baby innevitably needs feeding at some point and out comes a boob for the bambino. She does it discretely and I never get an eyeful unless the baby decides to give us all a show of mums boob for whatever baby reasons

It's natural, people who have a problem with it should probably re-examine themselves a little more closely for issues, imho.

The "its only natural" thing doesnt really wash with me though...If i took out my **** and had a p!ss in general view of the public,then i would be carted off...But hey,its only natural,and the aint a toilet near..

No problem with it myself, anyone who does is a bit strange, oh my god I have seen a titty, I will be scarred for life. I personally don't gawp, I tend to look anywhere but so as the mum doesn't feel like I am perving, it is not in any way a sexual sight.

Generally most mums are discreet, the only ones I cant be doing with are the ones that turn up on telly with a 12 year old clamped on, now that would be uncomfortable.

I think there's some law in the pipeline (might even be in by now) to protect the right of nursing mothers. About time too. Most seem to be very tactful about doing it.

It's nice to see that there is only a small minority of people who have a problem with it. But for those who do seem to see it as an issue, then the simple answer is, don't look. Nobody has to watch a child being breastfed. The only time that you might maybe get a glance of anything like a nipple or a bit of boob is when the baby first latches on. Funnily enough if it were a woman with her chest hanging out and there wasn't a baby attatched, but instead a a low cut top hanging about her bosom, then it has a whole different impression on people.
I was once out having a meal with a friend. We had ordered our meal, and while we waited she started to feed her baby while she was awake and wanted a feed. One of the staff came over and said that some of the customers was not happy and could she possible use the ladies to feed her baby??!! I was disgusted, so I asked the member of staff if this person would also like to go and eat HER burger and chips sitting on the toilet in the ladies? he said he could not possibly say that to a customer!! Double standards or what?!
I am glad that there will be knew laws as there is still legal issues with breastfeeding in public as it is classed partially as indeieent exposure, and at the discretion of landlords, restaurant owners they are allowed to ask women to feed in private, as it can be seen as loosing them money/trade if people refuse to eat/drink there
In which cases suitable facilities 'should' in my opinion be provided. However in many places, they are NOT provided, and that is where the problems arise.
The simple answer and money saving tip would be for us all to grow up and understand the breasts make milk, and for a small part of a baby's life we should be able to get over ourselves and just let the child be fed.
Yes boobies are great to look at and men and women love them, but firstly they have a job..... to feed a hungry baby. Simple.

My missus is currently breastfeeding our daughter, and agree with what most have said, it can be done very discreetly and is done so. For one you time your outings around the feeds to reduce the chance of the baby needing to be fed while out and about.

If she was asked to feed her in a toilet there would be serious problems for the person doing the asking.

It's odd though when her friend pops round with her husband, she is also nursing, they both tend to feed at the same time, he and I don't know where to look, which is generally our cue to go for a pint.
