In that case...
Here's my basket from last summer:
Here's a Daylily that I grew. It's called a daylily as the fower lasts for one day. Wonder ho thought up that name?
Here's the aftermath of a BBQ - (at this point Sal, Lee and Kim had gone off on a man-hunt, leaving me to clean up):
This is where I was just playing with different macros on my camera:
And my new mode of transport

I have a load of tomato plants, can do a swap with another veg - any offers?
I also have some rhubarb plants which I grew from seed. They won't produce a crop til next year, but if anyone fancies one, let me know

I can't wait until poll starts for "Flower of the Week". This surely has to be a contender!

I thought Tulips could be taken out ,stored and re-planted next year .??
Nice to see a bit of Culture on here for a change .
I was only looking at the Tulips my mother planted for me in the pots around the house ,and commenting how big and colourful they are this year .
I havent got a clue about gardening to be honest ,but I do enjoy seeing the different flowers, plants growing each year at different times .
Think the Red Hot Pokers will be out soon ,wont they ?

My turnips have just germinated. They don't like being moved, you know - when they're a bit older like

My experience has been that they quickly deteriorate after a year or so and I just get some fresh bulbs. I spoke to a tulip guru about this who said it was the way they the bulbs were produced in Holland. The old flowers were not given time to flower thus preserving goodness in the new bulb, or something like that!
They are nice as we need some colour at this time of year and they are easy peasy to grow. I have several old half barrels which have tulips for flowering now and as soon as they are finished I have some begonia corms in some and sweet peas in others. dl

An old workmate of mine was always showing me his red hot poker and his weeping cherry.

I tell you what else is nice ,I have a small pond and it has some Lillies of some kind that bloom once a year and they are a fantastic Purple colour (I think they are purple, but I am a bit colour blind !)Long stems ,then the flower opens out similar to an Orchid type flower .
The previous owner must have put them in .
I just wish I was a better gardener .

I have a tulip that pops up every year (not a euphemism!)
I have some poppy seeds to plant, when should they go in? I have the whole black bit from the middle...do I need to break it up or wazz the whole thing in?
