Well, I am no prude, honestly, I am not, but I just don't think this is the place for this type of thing. It's made me feel a bit ill.... I mean, people who I've seen post pointless drivel and enjoyed banter with in NSR for the last few years, are now posting links to pics and sites I really don't want to see.

Yes, I can not go into that forum, but it's a bit like finding out your parents have had sex in their lives.... a bit creepy.

We all know that people look at naked bodies, it's natural. Do I want to see it on a car forum? Probably not. I will ignore it and obviously don't have to go in there, but it's not the right sort of thing for the "community" section of a really popular car site.

Yes and no. As I've said in the other thread in here, and my own thread in there, a bit of tit/fluff/bum is a pleasure to the eye, but some of the stuff posted in there isn't what I want to see on Scoobynet.

It will be like fight club section..... people who post **** in here want it to be viewed by the majority not the minority.... so they will simply keep posting in NSR

And lets be honest, if the web chumps were really that bothered about it they would simply make adult section available to all

Personally I think it's an embarrassment to the site, like the Neds in their Sheds that DCI referred to the other day. It's like having a load of fanny mags floating about in the footwell of your car.

Some people seem to be under the impression it's a **** section.... but it isn't.... it is an adult section. (ie adult humour)

Of course some threads are a bit 'hardcore', but it isn't about ****, i am looking forward to the 'adult humour' posts, like NS04's 'motivational' thread.

I've been in had a look and thought WTF!!! It's I'll swear cos I can and I'll post minging pics, cos I can, saw someone who I thought was a friend have a sarcastic dig at me cos I wouldn't pay to join, needless to say I'll not talk to the person again.

What I find incredibly ironic is that they shut down the BOTW group on a section of the boards due to alleged complaints about it I don't believe for one second there was one single complaint! but hey ho

I have to admit I'm kinda pissed with the moderators here, I get the feeling that they feel because they are mods they are somehow far more important than the other users (not all of them but most of them) and that isn't good IMO

Funny though that the BOTW group was shut due to an alleged complaint, yet the adult forum still goes on despite numerous complaints here and in policy, people even wanting their orange club status removed, others wanting their accounts deleted, it's ridiculous and the double standards are ****ing unbelievable!!!

One rule for the mod gods another for the rest of us! TBH I'm sick of SN now and so fecking glad I didn't renew my +membership when it expired, I think my posting days here are pretty much over, I'll stick around for a bit, but my input will be pretty much nil from now on.

Cheers
Tam

There are very few forums I would pay to post on and SN is not one..........that is not a dig at IB or anyone associated with them.. I just do not think SN is worth one penny of my money

I get a lot of fun from here, and over the years have received and given lots of friendly, impartial and hopefully correct advice. I don't begrudge them the fiver for however many years it lasts.

I paid £18 for a + membership, at the time I thought it was worth it, now though I wouldn't pay 18p, the whole place has went to **** and the quietness shows it, folk are turning their back on SN and this adult forum is a last attempt to bring users back and of course bring in a few quid at the same time, tis sad really!

The adult forum was requested by members.

The number of people visiting here will IMHO drop off slowly as the new car hasn't captured the imagination of old enthusiasts, nor has much appeal to any new following, rallying is dead in the water as we knew and loved it with its relationship to our beloved cars, and every day one-by-one there'll be less and less of the older cars as they get scrapped/crashed or whatever. SNet needs to evolve away from Subaru over the next few years, although the name will make that difficult. It's still one of the friendliest, most relaxed and fun of the numerous forums I visit, hence my post-count here is massive compared to any account I have anywhere else. Times change, and even I only come on here whilst at work during the weekend now as I have more and better things going on during the week.

I would like to think the adult section is simply a case of 'lets create this section to clean up NSR' but by making it a paid members section only, it does smack of desperation and an attempt to get people to pay money to see second rate **** and some swear words.

Yes, even from March when I joined. The adult section was not there then was it? Now it is, the forum has evolved even in that short time. Am I not allowed to contribute or have an opinion then?

Yes, you are right, it has evolved. How stupid of me and others who have been around for a number of years that this is evolution in the wrongest sense....

You should be congratulated for being around for a number of years whereas I have only been around for a number of weeks. Does that make my contribution to the thread less valid than anyone else's?
