Thumbs up Dip Yer Bread!!!!!

My Playstation 2 started acting up lately, it's a Silver SlimLine which hasn't really had much use to be honest - but, I was just working my way through some great games at £3 each! When I started getting the Disc Read Error message.

Anyway - 2nd hand these are about £35 in Gamestation ... probably with harder use than mine has had too! I was about to open mine up to fix when someone said that Sainsburys were knocking these out brand new for £39!! I have just been down there and dipped me bread!

Absolute bargain!

But the ps2 is a really rubbish console. I tried playing a game on ours about 1year ago and had to switch it off as it was some tiny character running around with a properly blocky image

If only I knew what a playstation 2 was?

Some people will be fooled into buying anything because they "think" its cheap!

I suppose its a bit like VHS , betamax etc

Mr Sainsbury must have seen you coming!

I've got one! Paid £500 for it too ... with that Golf game which is BRILLIANT!

Good grief, that was about 16 years ago

£39 for a brand new, unopened PS2 is a steal ........ and you know it!

Go and dip yer bread!

Well noted! You joined in May - my birthday is in June, 78 then (June).... 80 now.

Does age preclude one from playing a Playstation?

I don't believe being a 40 something geek pretending to be a senile git would preclude someone from using a Playstation

HTH

You're not 80 everyone know's it so why continue the pretence ?? you were 78 when I joined in 2001 FFS

"Dip yer bread" is fast becoming a successor to "My Bad" as the most annoying strap line at present.

Cant see whats wrong with using a proper steering wheel and using a decent pc. Far more realistic and much more fun.

Whats all this "My Bad" Pete, is it an Americanism, or are you trying to be ever so modern?

I find English is quite easy to understand as a rule.

'My Bad' Leslie is an annoying term used by some posters on here, normally the ones who also say 'Open a Can of Whoop ***'

'Dip Yer Bread' is a fine Old English Yorkshire Term however, and should be applauded .... I'm sure you would agree?

Record in all competitive matches...

Played 122
Won 61
Drawn 28
Lost 33
For 212
Against 166

Considering the majority of those matches would have been played before the golden years for United (50's, 60's, 90's & 00's), I'd say thats a pretty good record
