Hopefully this will be of use.
Have to say I've never heard of McDonalds having wi-fi access, they certainly don't over here, and you'd expect they would, as it would give the morbidly obese buggers the ability to twitter that they are having heart attack after scoffing themselves

Most McDonalds now offer free WiFi ( The Cloud )
All the ones in Southampton do anyway....

Not going now anyway as too late to get everything sorted out plus Mrs has a stomach bug so don't need her chundering in the car all the way down there 
I will check the Mcdonalds wireless still though to see if vpn works so know for future.
