I quite enjoyed it - well, what little there was of it - they'd probably have been better running it in one fell 90min swoop - I don't think anything will ever match series I, II or III but it was nowhere as near as bad as previous attempts to resurrect (pardon the pun this Easter time) Red Dwarf. A thumbs up from me.

Some bits just didn't seem to work did they?
Some bits were OK though. Of course, I'll watch them all.
The first 3 series were clearly the best. All went south after Craig Charles' little run in with the law.

I will watch all three together with a curry and beers on Monday nite!
Sadly, a half-hour show on Dave equates to around 20 mins of programme 10 mins of adverts.

According to the Digital Spy review, it does get better.

Sadly though, an initially humour-free script really lets Lister (Craig Charles), Rimmer (Chris Barrie), Cat (Danny John Jules) and Kryten (Robert Llewellyn) down in a massive way during the first part. The quality does improve dramatically as the story continues, but one can't help but feel that this whole endeavour fails to live up to the hype.

Just had 1 major thought on this.
Where the hell is the rest of the crew??? The nano's resurected the whole ship, inc the crew, hence the 4 of them being in the brig.
On that note, they have regressed the story back missing out series 8, which the ending is most of the crew escaping from Red Dwarf as its being eaten by the virus.
