We met while working in a restuarant together. On the first night we pop out to the sea front because the wind was up and the waves were crashing over the front. We both wanted to hold each others hand but had only met like an hour before.
Anyway, for a valentine I booked the table at the restaurant and in advance chose the window seats and in between the main and desert we went out to watch the waves and held hands.
Do something that means something to both of you. A particular place perhaps.

Brought a gf a diamond encrusted Longines watch like what Audrey Hepbun (her fave person ever) had.
Took a gf to Pikes in Ibiza for her b'day (suprise)
Took a gf to the best hotel in Amsterdam for the weekend for her b'day (suprise)
Got gf and her bessie mate picked up by chaffeur, taken to local airfield and got a mate to fly them to a country house in his chopper for afternoon tea as a suprise. (she wanted to go but i couldn't get day off to drive them myself)
Filled the flat with flowers when a gf was upset (so she came home to them)
Got a gf a personal shopper and spa day thingy.
Took plenty of girls out in Astons, E-types, Bentleyts etc with the full wicker picnic basket etc...
Took a gf to the Oxo Tower
(really!)
Took a gf on a sunset cruise on a crewed yacht in Ibiza.
Loads more i can't remember...

Wrote my wife a song and recorded/mixed it.
Filmed myself & sent the vids to her phone with instructions (in sonnet form) for the plans for her day
Lots of other things too - bit of an old smoothie really (and not in terms of a dodgy drink!!!

Mine were all from the heart, just because things cost money does not mean that a lot of time and thought did not go into to them. Things don't just happen even if they cost a lot of money, they take many hours/days of organisation and careful planning/sneakyness to make sure they happen 100% perfectly.
