Isn't this the normal way of the world?

You buy something, the ex-owner ensures you get what you paid for, job done ........ why a thread about doing something normal?

Spineless would be the word I would use to describe such people. But also not worth the time of day.

In that case, I would like to thank the postman for delivering my letters today - and for the pile of Junk Mail to put in the bin ...... I wasn't at home, but I am sure that he/she superbly dispatched the mail through my letterbox in a most fanatstic manner!

Think the difference here is that he's not done it for profit. All he has asked for is that his costs for materials are covered, with no charge for his time to prepare said items. Not many would offer to do that IMO

Honestly, I struggle to 'get' people on here at times.

We are so often so keen to start threads about being ripped off, and any negative experience, but when one is started about being happy, people are out twisting.

What the hell is really wrong with saying thanks, and mentioning something positive for a change (regardless of whether it should go that way anyway)?

Lots of tossers around, so if someone does something nice, or provides a good honest service what's wrong with drawing attention to it?

Jesus, that's charming isn't it. I was trying to thank the bloke for what he did, and 90% understand why I made it a thread, yet the other 10% have to start slating and making negative comments. The one rule I go by on here, is if you don't have something nice to say, or don't have help to give, then don't say anythng at all.

Perhaps a select few should follow suit?

I think that just about sums the place up these days
Still I guess its becoming clearer by the day who is who.

Speaking your mind and voicing an opinion is one thing. Destroying a thread for no apparent reason, other than being an ****..... Saddens me.

It is nice to see some positive threads these days. I bet COB is writing his acceptance speak as we speak and will shortly be making a tearful 'oscar winning' performance later on today

But better than hearing New Labour spin eh lol.
It seems to be the done thing these days, nothing of any interest to say, or no interest in the thread, shoot it down in flames and question its point, authenticity, or validity.

I guess that would be ONE of my faults too then, other than being an attention seeker, and a sicko mentalist to list a few.

Im not sure which side has the issue to be honest, im a little biased obviously but would have to say there is no harm with discussing your life in the public domain. If people dont want to read about it, dont
Its like books and TV programs really. All there for the reading and watching but we pick and choose.

Difference on a forum being that others can have public digs at people for the hell of it, and get of on the fact that they might be causing misery to others.

I think it is a sad indication of present day attitudes that some have to run a bloke down because he had the good manners to thank someone for doing him a favour! What are they trying to prove?
