i have just had an update to complete my position overview, i can see everyone elses and even alter it, what do you think.

also the holidays, and sickness days people take is open to all is this normal

It depends on whether or not you need to see it for your job, if you don't I suspect there's a data protection issue there.

Sickness data certainly shouldn't be open, holidays possibly so you can coordinate shifts, time-off etc.

Unless you require access to perform your duties, for example a manager needs access to payroll and attendance info for his team, then no. All sorts of privacy and data protection issues.

Because of my job in IT I have access to everything that HR store on the fileserver, but if I was caught snooping I'd be in serious trouble. Private info should be exactly that.
