Euro Car Parks penalty notica - Sainsburys Brighton
Long story short
Wife goes into Sainsburys, gets given a plastic card that needs to be redeemed on exit. Assumes that you have to pay for your time over the 2 hours you get free. Does her shopping meets with sister does lunch etc, anyway 3.5 hours later goes to pay to be told that you can only park for 2 hours, anything over is a £50 fine. Security writes her the penalty ticket, then the plastic card is swiped so that she can exit the barriers.
So how enforcable is this ticket? My wife feels there wasn't sufficient signs up and feels duped.
I say be more observant and take the hit. But then again if its a micky mouse ticket then they can jog on.
So how 'enforcable' are these?

Unenforcable - ignore. They contract with the driver but they only have the registered keepers details. Everything that they threaten is a bluff.

^^ I wouldn't even do that TBH. Just ignore any letters etc as they'll soon get bored. FYI I park for free every day in a private car park, have had a few tickets over the years & ignored every one + all the threatening letters. It will never get further than that.
