Clicking as in when you operate the click wheel? If so then there is an option to turn that off within the options. My ipod is flat so can't look right now, but it is within the options.

Yes it is, go through the options and wheel through to the end of the options (some not displayed on screen so wheel to the end. It is the 'clicker on/off' you need to get to - based on my classic that is
