SE X1 or iphone 3G?
Anyone with experience of both?
Upgrade time, mobile web access and wi fi capability high on wish list as I spend a fair amount of time travelling.
Had a play with an iphone yesterday, liked it a lot.
Not had a play with an X1 yet.
Anyone with either phone have any thoughts?
ps - on o2, there is a bolt on option for unlimited wifi. WTF is that all about? Thought wifi was free???

The X1 (espcially after the recent update from sony) is excellent.
It's a proper gadget phone. If you don't want gadgets or don't like to play with tech, go with the Iphone.

Swiss, data & wi fi are unlimited for the iphone, yes, but not on the X1. You need a bolt on for data (although its free on all but the cheapest tariff.
My query on wifi bolt on is based on this
Unlimited Wi-Fi Offers you the following:
Unlimited Wi-Fi access with your voice connection
Access to over 6,100 Wi-Fi hotspots in the UK (with The Cloud)
Compatible with all voice tariffs available from 18 January 2008
For single (and personal) device use only
Subject to excessive usage policy
Which seems to be strange?

Sorry mate, I thought you meant the bolt on from 02 for the iphone, didnt realise it is extra on the X1 (anyway isnt that a big black fighter plane )
If your query about the unlimited wifi useage being true 'unlimited' then they put that caveat in just to have a comeback if you sit all day in some dodgy cafe, eating pasties and downloading huge 400mb german **** flicks
So yes unlimited, but not 'that' unlimited
Oh and the cloud coverage may be good but best to find a little wifi app that you can run on the phone so you can find free wifi spots to beef up your chance of having blanket coverage
