Default Show off your living room & home entertainment setup...

The missus & me want to redecorate our living room so I'm looking for some ideas on feature walls, wall colours, furniture, LCD/Plasma TV/Cinema setups, ways to hide all the wires ect... You get the idea. I know that there's some clever creative people on here so please post some pics to give us some ideas.

Thanks very much!

Here's my set up. I picked up a few ideas from that AV forums thread a few years ago but designed and did the drawings for this set up myself. Had it for a number of years now and very happy with it. Wire from the AV centre to the TV is just a single HDMI and it hidden behind the skirting.

Edit, the speakers have drooped....I really should re-tighten them

I read the thread title, and was just about to post that this will turn into the biggest "cahunas" thread before long.

(I'm only saying that as I have a puney 32" leceder turv and small surround sound)

Very swish lads , keep em coming.

There's loads of ideas & useful info on that avforums site, thanks for that link spireite

I'm drawn towards the fake chimney breast build although that fake wall with the glow behind it also looks ace. Mmmmmm... Decisions, decisions....

Sorry the picture is a bit dark but got myself a nice centre speaker to finish my little AV setup. I need to get the cables tidied up I know

Panasonic TH42PZ80, Onkyo XT22HD 2.1 combined amp\sub system which I've added two rear speakers and a Mordaunt Short 905i centre to.

Sky HD and 360 on the bottom.

It all looks very impressive, our house is too small to accommodate anything like that.

Surely there must be a way you can hide those cables?

I have a new post in NSR regarding home cinema in case you're wondering why this was dug up

Do you not have a "ting tong" lying on the floor showing off her thong?
Probably get one for about 50p

Been seen on here before....but just to upset Nat.

I built a stud wall to come out flush to the panel. All the cables drop down behind the stud to the media box /amp / DVD player / Sky HD / PS3 which are all housed in the cabinet below. All the speaker cables are behind the plaster board to the rear corners so you can't see a single cable in the whole room from any angle.
