Question Prague for stag do?

The lads wanna go Prague for my stag do but we have no clue about where to go.

Can anyone recommend a good area to stay in and where to find the kind of bars for a stag night?

Seems more like a weekend for my single mates than myself but I'm up for a laugh

He he went here about 5 years ago for a stag weekend OH my god fun fun fun. cheap drinks fantastic freindly atmoshphere and the women WOW all bloody models!!
we were smack bang in the middle of praque and all the places were great but theres one nightclub cant remember the name of the place but if you cross the bridge over the river coming out of the center and loom down to your left theres a club down there thats on 5 levels and is fantastic.
the only thing i will warn you about is the gypsies, dirty little buggers will grope you and go for your cash just be careful, apart from that you will have a blast and the strip joints are the best in the world hands on ect if you know what i mean!!

Whilst I'd heartily recommend Prague, be careful if you plan on getting totally wasted etc.

The police are getting fed up with scooping drunk brits off the pavement and them getting into fights.

The local men aren't very enamoured with "rich" brits pulling the local girls too.

Oh you'll have a laugh as said above the wimins are unbelivable, and that's just in the street! the strip bars are equily pretty. Beer is dirt cheep, 50p a pint and it's good stuff a couple of guys pre booked over the tinternet into a brothol and booked which girls they wanted, they recconed it cost about £100 for the sesh.

You're quoting prices from 1999.

They have caught on and it's not that cheap now. It was on a par with UK prices when I went last year.

We went about 2 years ago, was still cheap, just have to know where to go. I remember the price because one of the lads got ripped off in the strip club for £127.50,(we still take the **** out of him about it) the 50p is important as it was more than the lads who went to the brothal for the afternoon

I was wasted for the whole time I was there, but it wasn't cheap. All the guides say it's a quid a beer but then you get there and realise it's not!

Depends on where you go I guess.

Not what it used to be but still worth it
There is only one place, right in the middle! The crowds will show you where to go.

The bar we went to that was quite cheap durrung the day was over the bridge away from the big clock/ cathedral, there was some steps down on the left into a square, on the left there was a bar which has a beer garden on the back. The really cheap bars were in the old back streets which was where our hotel was, they were very traditional dingy places in basements.

I was in Prague a couple of months ago and it was quite expensive. I didn't partake of anything apart from restaurants though!

I went for my stag do there last May; highly recomended. Better to stay in 'Old Prague' as it is cheaper, and the cheap beer is over there, then off you go over Charles Bridge once you are warmed up for the decent clubs and bars. Beer there is the same price as over here. My best man organised it so I don't know too many details but our apartments were called "Old Town Apartmants" I think, but don't be put off they were actually pretty good and quite near the bridge. Cheapest we found in Old Prague was indeed 50p a pint, but it was pretty rank. We also found a place that did 11% beer for £1 - also rank but did the job.

Just don't end up like me - stripped by 16 lads and given a coconut bra, grass skirt and a pink wig to wear!! Or made to dress as a 6'3 pooh with horns and christened "Bullsh*t"!! Or made to..... ah, the list is endless, the fokkers!

Lets just say it was emotional......

I don't see how it's acceptable to go to someone elses country and act like that. Oh well, I guess I'm a prude.

Went to Prague a few years back, great place and was cheap as chips, 3 or 4 quid for dinner.

Watch buying drugs from the street kids cos they'll try and rip you off (ie no drugs).

Club Empire was my favourite.

Here's some footage of my mates stag do in Prague in 2006. Note the sympathy my mates had for me (I couldn't fly due to medical reasons ) half way through the video!

I've been, I didn't feel as safe as in Amsterdam & the Nigerian fella's fight over you to take you into their particular lap dancing club.

It was a nice place, but I'd go to the Dam over Prague any day of the week (my 5th trip is this year )

I worked in Czech republic for a few months. I found Prague to be a bit of a rip-off. I found the prices to be on a par with the UK and sometimes even higher.
I much preferred Plzen. Its a lot less touristy, a lot more upmarket, and so much cheaper.
"Pamela's bar" was so much better (and a lot cheaper) than anything Prague had to offer.
The beer in Plzen is still at the old prices.
£2 will get you a tour of the original Budweiser factory museum including all you can drink.
One thing I noticed is the local guys all smell of sweat. They seldom use deodorant as it costs about double the price we pay in the UK. The national average wage is about a third of ours, so they only seem to use deodorant on special occasions.

I went there last summer for my stag do.

Absolutely brilliant. We had no problems at all with any locals or gypsys at all.

Whole heartedly recommend it! Get it booked!
