Default Be careful what you photograph, Section 76 of the counter terrorism act

BBC NEWS | UK | Is it a crime to take pictures?

Another erosion of your liberties.

You could be arrested for taking pictures, of the police, armed forces, ships, etc...

Love this quote by the met police farce

The Metropolitan Police insisted the law was intended to protect counter-terrorism officers and any prosecution would have to be in the public interest.

"For the offence to be committed, the information would have to raise a reasonable suspicion that it was intended to be used to provide practical assistance to terrorists," it said.

"Taking photographs of police officers would not, except in very exceptional circumstances, be caught by this offence."
Like thats going to happen.

Cool

Well that has scuppered all the foreigners taking pics of the Soldiers at Buck house and Windsor etc, not to mention trooping the colour and changing of the guard.

All the troops may aswell ditch those smart dress uniforms and revert to combats from now on then no one will want to take pics of them.

Does anyone else think that we're pulling the troops out of Iraq because Gordon knows he'll need them to keep law and order here in the summer?

I'm joking.

I think.
