Can anybody tell me how you buy corporate bonds? Preferably a way that doesn't involve large admin fees of a fund.

Also what do you look for? How do you compare one kind of bond against another? Obviously they have a yield but what else to look for?

good question - but not sure how you're going to avoid the admin fees (you're partly paying for the lack of liquidity in these markets and the portfolio spread that funds give you - also, they make trading in and out a lot easier as they give you the mechanism to do so).
