Yes, I'm sure it's been posted before ... but with the lack of search facility .... I guess I have to do it again

So, what's the best tracking device available ...

I need something that isn't going to cost a fortune ... my latest insurance qualifies for that and something that'll let me know when the car's moved when I'm nowhere near it .... from a company that's not going to go belly up five minutes after I've bought from them.

Is that such a tall order?

I've an RAC Trackstar with 24hour Guardian option.
That should cover all your criteria.

Mine was £599 fitted then £120 per year subscription. That was a year ago, I think there is a scheme now which incorporates the actual device and subscription into a monthly payment rather than a large initial expense.

I've got a NavTrak Proactive, and from the sounds of things you need the proactive systems, ie, they tell you when it's moved, not the other way around.

got mine a while ago due to to fantastic deal that Puff was doing. Never had a problem with it, and it does work, because I do forget to deatcivate it now and then, and then get call from them. much to the amusment of the people in the pub!
